The text on the back says:
Founded in 1093 AD, Durham Cathedral is regarded as one of the finest examples of Norman architecture in Britain. The building sits in a prominent position, high above the city and strategically placed within a tight loop of the River Wear. It holds the relics of St Cuthbert and the remains of the Venerable Bede. In addition, its library contains three copies of the Magna Carta.
David Holliday is a professional watercolour artist based in Northumberland. His paintings range from townscapes to wide open beaches, and from moody landscapes to puffins and pigeon houses.
