Stone Circle Blencathra painting Lake District

Castlerigg Stone Circle at Keswick - Blencathra

Castlerigg Stone Circle is situated to the east of Keswick, in the Lake District. It was created around 5000 years ago, during the Neolithic period.

The long, dark shadows cast by the stones create a striking contrast to the misty topped heights of Blencathra.
